An approach for the whole of us.
For all the twists and turns my life has taken, I have personally felt blessed to be able to draw on the levelness yoga has taught me over the past twenty years.  And in particular during my studies I became deeply nourished by the ancient poetic works of the Upanishads.  One such significant impression, found within the Manduka Upanishad, speaks of the dear friends, consciousness and livingness.
"There are two birds, two sweet friends, who dwell on the same tree.  One eats the fruits thereof, and the other looks on in silence."
Being particularly inspired by this beautiful analogy, my teaching looks to support you in getting to know these two inner friends for the true potential they each hold.  When they are firm friends life flows harmoniously, but when in conflict life is full of tension.

While this may sound simple in principle, to work on forming a steady relationship between consciousness and livingness requires us to better understand our whole selves.  Therefore to support you I aspire to engage the richness of a wholistic yoga practice within my approach.

In essence, we explore the wisdom held in yogic philosophy with the cultivation of intentional ethical principles.  In addition, we explore prescribed yoga postures, our energy levels with assistance from the breath, and absorbing meditation practices.  All of which when practiced mindfully and with compassion can bring a sense of wholeness that heartens and nurtures our very soul.
